About Irving –

Considered an inner ring suburb of Dallas, Irving is the 13th most populous city in the state of Texas. It is home to several Fortune 500 companies including ExxonMobil, Kimberly-Clark, and Fluor Corporation, and it serves as the headquarters for the Boy Scouts of America, the Big 12 Conference and Conference USA.

Located in the heart of Irving is a metro area called Las Colinas. Las Colinas was one of the first master-planned developments in the United States. It was once considered the largest mixed-use developments in the Southwest. Las Colinas is well known for their Mustangs sculpture in William Square, which is the largest equine sculpture in the world.

Irving Independent School District –

Irving ISD is the district of choice for more than 33,000 students. It offers 38 educational facilities including 20 elementary schools, 8 middle schools and 5 high schools. As a way for students to take full advantage of their potential, the Irving ISD Board of Trustees initiated the District of Innovation. The board believes that students could benefit from the flexibilities offered through District of Innovation, which was a concept passed by the 84th Texas Legislature in House Bill 1842.
